Introduction

1. Life jakcet for children

  

    To keep safe, all children should wear a personal flotation device (PFD), commonly known as a life jacket, when they are in any open area of a vessel. This is because during an incident you may not have the opportunity to help children.

 

    A personal flotation device should only be worn while on deck and not when a child is within a deckhouse, cabin or secure enclosed space as it could impede the child from making a safe exit.

 

2. Classification

 

    1) Type A

 

        

        Has sufficient flotation to support body and head. The flotation collar keeps your head above water. Do not use as a cushion.

 

    2) Type B

 

        

         Has less flotation than Type A with flotation panels front and back only. Is less restrictive to wear than Type A, but will not keep your head above water if you are unconscious. A Type B is suitable for use for sports such as water skiing, sail boarding, kite boarding and sailing dinghies.

 

     3) Type C

 

         

         Similar to Type B. These are designed for high-speed water sports such as water skiing.

 

3. Features

 

    1) The reflective piping and bright orange panels means the jacket is easly visible from a distance.

 

    2) XPE is a kind of high quality material which has excellent reciprocity, compressibility and resilience. Independant bubble structure can effectively prevent moisture from penestrating. Water absorption ratio per cubic is less than 0.002g, so it can much more effectively prevent bubble from condensing. XPE we use in making life jacket is the good water and moisture proof material.
